But eating food that is as close as possible to the way nature made is not about strict limitations, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Rather, it’s about feeling great, having more energy, improving your health, and boosting your mood, and it can make a huge difference to the way you think, look, and feel. Especially now, during the COVID-19 pandemic, eating healthy food remains an important part of maintaining your health. While there are no specific foods that can help protect you from the virus, healthy food can boost your immune system or help you fight off symptoms. Additionally, healthy eating doesn’t have to be overly complicated. Instead of being overly concerned with counting calories, for example, think of your food in terms of color, variety, and freshness.
There are many ways to improve your health through healthy food, like reducing salt and sugar, switching to fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk, choosing a variety of lean protein foods, drinking more water instead of sugary drinks, choosing meat that hasn't been processed, and we in Eco Party Warehouse has prepared some exquisite, healthy, delicious, and fun tips for you to follow:
- Eat the Rainbow -
The more colorful you make your plate, the more likely you are to get the higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber your body needs to be healthy. Add color using red, orange, and dark-green vegetables like fresh or sundried tomatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, glazed carrots or beets, roasted red cabbage wedges, yellow squash, or sweet, colorful peppers, along with other vegetables for your meals.
- Eat lots of fruits -
Fruit is an important source of vitamins, minerals, dietary fibers, plant proteins, and antioxidants. It can be fresh, frozen, canned, dried, or juiced. If your favorite recipe calls for frying fish or breaded chicken, try healthier variations using baking or grilling. Also, instead of boiling or steaming healthy sides like green beans, broccoli, and asparagus, try grilling, roasting, or pan-frying them with garlic, shallots, chili flakes, mushrooms, or onion.

Meat, poultry, dry beans or peas, eggs, nuts, and seeds are considered part of the protein foods group.
- Go for seafood -
Seafood is an excellent source of protein and contains many vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids (heart-healthy fat). Seafood includes fish (such as salmon, tuna, and trout) and shellfish (such as crab, mussels, and oysters).
- Consume healthier fats -
