Happy World Environment Day
World Environment Day, June 5, is the most important day for raising public awareness and action in the field of environmental protection, which is highly endangered in the 21st century. Since it was established in 1974, World Environment Day has become a global event that is celebrated with various actions in over 100 countries around the world.
We owe so much to nature - it gives us the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the climate that (still) allows life on our planet. But in the times we live in, nature is sending us a message! In order to preserve the world as we know it and secure it for future generations, we must finally wake up, raise our voices, and devote all our attention to nature. To build a better future for humans and the planet!
As the world battles the COVID-19 pandemic among other environmental disasters including cyclones, earthquakes, and floods, now more than ever everyone needs to come together to support environmental initiatives even in the smallest ways possible. Therefore, this year it is held under the slogan "It's time for nature" and reflects the desire and need of people to turn to nature and live in harmony with it. So, get involved in the fight for the environment, think about what you can do for nature, and invite your friends to join you.
